TrueTime to Prism: An interface that takes payroll information from a Punch clock system called TrueTime and reformats the data to import the file into Prism, a payroll software package from Ceridian.

Electronic Funds Transfer

EFT Cleanup: (Sold as a package to several different companies) An interface that takes Electronic Fund Transfer information from The Raiser's Edge, and reformats the information to allow transmission of EFT information to Royal Bank, Bank of Nova Scotia, or Bank of Montreal (each bank has different format requirements).

Membership Scanning

(For Vancouver Aquarium) Allows Admissions staff to scan a membership card, and our interface quickly retrieves information about the member from The Raiser's Edge database and displays this information to the staff member. Allows the staff to quickly verify membership status, etc.

Restaurant Systems (Squirrel to Ceridian Payroll Software)

(For Cara Operations) An interface that imports payroll information from Squirrel (from several different stores) and combines all of the payroll information to import into ADP (a Payroll package). This also performs several data integrity checks, such as employees who have worked too many days, or employees not currently entered in ADP.

Accounting (Squirrel to JD Edwards)

(For Cara Operations) An interface that imports Petty Cash and incoming money from Squirrel, and processes the information (combining amounts into single account codes, etc) and creates an export file to be imported into JD Edwards (accounting module). This interface also produces several reports and flags files that are not properly balanced.

Our Payroll interface extracts the employee's hours worked from the restaurant software and converts it for Ceridian Payroll software.

The Cash Interface software, allows for a smooth combining of the daily cash sheets per restaurant to make their head office reconciliation must faster and more efficient than in the past.

Restaurant Software Interfaces

We have written interfaces to one of the leading restaurant software packages used by Spectra Group of Fine Restaurants:

	Our Payroll interface extracts the employee's hours worked from the restaurant software and converts it for Ceridian Payroll software.
	The Cash Interface software allows for a smooth combining of the daily cash sheets per restaurant to make head office reconciliation faster and more efficient.

We made modifications to a Cash Interface database, which retrieves email from Outlook and saves an attachment sent by various restaurants. The attachment is then imported into the database and the resulting data is processed for reconciliation with the head office records. In addition, the database also produces macro files for use in the Sun Microsystems accounting system they have there.

Ski-Resort Software Interfaces

This was a Visual Basic project to allow each ski resort to enter operational data into a database. Information such as snowmaking, ski lift operation, number of visitors, and weather is entered. The program then emails the file to the head office. The head office then retrives each email from the ski resorts and processes the data file into a central database. The database then generates a series of graphs (approx. 120), which are then emailed back to the ski resorts. This allows each ski resort to see how their operations compare to the other resorts, fostering some level of competition. This software is installed at several locations throughout Canada and US.

Ticketmaster Interfaces

This program imports Ticketmaster data (in the form of a text file) into a database. Duplicate records and erroneous entries are noted and fixed and the data is made available for statistical analysis and to generate mailing lists.

Scanner software Interfaces

Allows the user to activate and control a scanner so that images are scanned into a computer, and then added to a database.
